One word:
LAG

Launched this evening at 6pm EST, DoD:Source features much improved graphics and audio, evident in the building details (natural looking textures) and the revised gun sounds. It also features the new HDR technology to be demonstrated in the Lost Coast mission for HL2.

The player animations are no longer characterized by the once obscene sideways tilts. Back to the lag...

Steam's server browser window seems broken. Even when I find an open slot on a public server, it often prompts for a password even though the browser window indicates no password. I managed to enter two servers, both taking very long to get through the verification stages, and once in-game, there was plenty of lag. Not intermitten skipping, but constant skips that made the game unplayable. At me second server it finally settled down, but it was still obvious that Steam and DoD:S servers are so inundated with network traffic that even once connected you will be feeling the effects of this congestion, probably composed of excessive server connection attempts.

So, wait at least a few hours, maybe days, and check it out. It wasn't very hard to get into it, I went 16:9 (K:D) in my first round without much effort. Also, be sure to play with your mouse setup options; there are several crosshairs to choose from besides the expanding plus sign.

Fallen

i played it today and there wasnt to much lag

I kinda think the running is to fast but oh well is still fun to play
