muff, i have billed Kruger Scwartz and Morreau attn @ law, on your behalf, in this however i billed 2 differnt bills at 2 differnt rates (one if building insurance covers it, the other if rand kruger pays.

becuase you have neglected to send me a bill over this, i have told cookie that we would get you a video card and donate the rest in your behalf to the bf2 ranked. (both can be done if the insurance pays).

Fudd... I can take care of the video card.  Please donate whatever you bill the law firm for to the ranked server, (speaking of the servers, dont forget the 24 player server for practice and matches).

I am awaiting final word form ASUS what they will do about this video card and then I am going to ebay it, and buy a new card.  this card's closest model is listed for $288 on Newegg.  And this card is better than the one newegg lists.  I think I will edit the asking price accordingly.  

Thank you Cookie and Fudd for the offer, but I will get this fixed quickly cuz I am now extremely pissed and well armed.

Also anyone interested in hardware should stear clear of ASUS, at least untill I find the outcome of this fiasco.



EDIT:  I just Froogled the card.  The cheapest google lists it is $414 followed by $552.  I will be ebaying this next week if ASUS blows me off, and also writting a very pissed off well worded letter to the head of RMA dept and Customer service.

Yeah, that's an excellent deal you're offering. I got the ATI AIW X800 XT AGP at $315 and my second choice was an ATI X800 XL at $365. The Asus edition is even better than the ATI X800 XL, at least because it carries some great utilities. The Asus editions of the ATI cards are pretty damn good too, and often cost between $50-$150 more.

So if anyone with PCI-E wants a great current-gen card that will be Crossfire compatible, pick that baby up! EDIT: Well, eBay it and set a decent reserve. What was the problem with Asus to begin with? I've seen other anti-Asus reports, but I might have mixed them up by now.

I had an agp card that has killed 3 motherboards this year.  I have been without a computer 5months out of 8 because of the video card.  I returned it for RMA and they repaired it only to have it kill 3 motherboards in 2 months.  Now they offer a replacement, which I think great but the model number sounds like a PCI express, I advised them that I can not use that kind of card but since they have an agp model that would work.  they send me the PCI express model anyway, and then act like it is my fault I can't use it and they sent me an incompatible card.
