Those older folks probably remember Oldy who use to be really active in RSD.  He was in africa at one of our embassies when it was attacked by a car bomber in 1998.  He survived the explosion but was injured so they made him a recruiter.  I just got an email that he was being shipped to Iraq this month.  He sends his best wishes to us.

Though later this year I will have the "opportunity" to bump into him over that way...

Side note, I was less than 50 miles from fly'n into Nirobi to evac him and other US personel at the time.  But we were out of range for the Helos to make it in and back.
