Title: language
Post by: Fallen on March 26, 2007, 01:19:48 PM
Soon I have to sign up for classes for next semester and I have a question of what to pick. The question is about what foreign language to learn.

Some information that may help you help me is that I am getting a undergraduate degree in CIS and I am going to then get a masters in either Management or International Management. So I am looking for a language that will help me in those fields.

I was thinking either Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or German. The main guideline of what I will take is that it can't really be an older language like Latin or Greek.

Any input at all would be very helpful.

In the current global marketplace, both Japanese and German can be excellent assets since both of these nation's corporations are well diversified overseas. A few things to keep in mind.  More nations speak Spanish.  Tech companies love India and China.  Also, China will be a global powerhouse of the future.  So pick your poison. :)

Personally, I would go with Chinese due to its potential and the fact that you can at least be able to order Chinese girl...I mean food. ;)
