For any of you that use sprint's cell phone service(nextel will probably work too), I can take most song or sound files (including music/sound that is a part of a shockwave flash file) and make ring tones from them. The ring tone can only be a maximum of 30 seconds long (after that it cuts off when it transfers to voicemail).
All I need is for you to play a song or sound file and notice the track time at the point you want the ringer to start. Let me know when you've done that and I'll give you an FTP link to upload the sound file to so I can make it. I also hope to have a page running soon that will allow you to upload your own wallpapers and such to your phone.
NOTE: It's recommended that you have sprint PCS vision (or any text msg service from sprint) so that you can receive the download link directly to your phone. If you don't, you would have to buy (or acquire) SnapMedia from FutureDial Corp and transfer it directly from your PC.
*IMPORTANT* May not work with all sprint phones. (Actually, pretty darn sure it won't work with them all.)
I also might be able to figure out how to do it with other carriers to, so feel free to ask.
That is really sweet.
Time to do "Tonight, Tonight" by Smashing Pumpkins for DigitalGeneral, some Lifehouse song for my fiance, and some soundbyte from Office Space for my workplace.
I'll upload you the stuff sometime. Maybe we should come up with a general Shadow Knights ringtone for all to share ;-).
In case it matters, I have a Samsung A660.
Shouldn't be a problem. I know some samsung phones are screwy and can only take ringers and such from sprint alone. Not sure if the A660 is like that, but when I try it we'll find out.
hey balaso, im with sprint !!!
