i finally got around to playing the FEAR multiplayer demo today and it is actually pretty fun, the only part i dont like is the slow-mo because if you have it you have an icon put on the HUD of the enemy wherever you are.

my second game was pretty nice :P

Slow mo in multiplayer too? Sounds interesting. Wonder what it would look like with everyone using it at the same time...acid flashback?

you can set slow mo on in the server settings and there is like a gadget or something you pick up and only one person can have it at a time. when you have it a bar fills up at the botto of the screen and when it is full you can use it

If anyone played the Half-Life mod Action Half-Life, they'd know what it's like with EVERYONE able to use bullet-time at once. That mod was pretty good, just too frenetic for me. It was very Matrix-esque, using several scenes and characters as the basis of its maps and models. Anyone could slow-mo it, and I suppose to keep everyone synced, you'd simply speed up things a little for the person that uses it, perhaps jarring the action a little as people will have moved a few more steps.

How is the game visually? It looked like it promised to be a more digestible Doom3.

the game is amazing visually and the gameplay for me so far has been smooth

and here is a quickie of slow-mo, the beginning sucks but the end is a good showing of it. the sound stops and the movies stops at the end because my comp decided to restart itself for some reason
