did you run a mem_test to see if stick has a bad memory module on it.

like cookie is suggesting- your new memory stick sounds like it is bad.  Test it if you can, and RMA it.  or if you bought it in the store exchange it.

Test by playing the game with the new stick removed and then with only the new stick installed.  if it crashes with the new stick then the stick is bad if it crashes without the new stick it is your installation of BF2 or windows.

Its the correct type of Memory.  But you said it didnt crash with any other programs except BF2?  If it were bad sticks then it wouldnt really run at all (usually will crash after boot).  Did you try and switch the sticks around?  Yea the easiest thing to do is try and get a new pair of sticks and see if that helps.

I had issues back in the day with bad ram, only crashed durring Rogue Spear, I could play CS for about an Hour and half before crashing but in RS or windows, could have died at anytime.  was one bad stick of ram.  RMA it.

I can tell you right now that it is bad RAM.  I had the same prob. about 2 years ago when I built a PC.  It crashed when I went into RVS and started to play for a little bit.  RMA that thing back ASAP.

Been pretty good, busy as hell, but good.  I am working on a video card solution for myself right now.  If ya know someone that wants a EAX800XT(top of line card) let me know.
